Free Cancer Screenings

scf_road_comp_1Since 1996, May has been a time for educators and health professionals to spotlight skin cancer prevention, detection and treatment. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the U.S., with over one million new cases diagnosed every year. Left untreated, skin cancers can be very dangerous, but with early detection — and intervention — most are curable. To promote early detection, The Skin Cancer Foundation is providing free skin exams with the Road to Healthy Skin Tour, sponsored by AVEENO™ and Rite Aid. The Tour, which also has support from Columbia Sportswear®, is traveling in a 38-foot customized Winnebago, offering free skin exams to residents in 40 cities across the country. The Tour made an appearance on The Today Show on May 1st and kicked off in New York City with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Foundation President Perry Robins, MD, and Vice President Deborah S. Sarnoff, MD, on May 2 in Union Square, New York City. Now we’re heading up and down the East Coast before traveling West and then South. The Tour will run until the end of October, so please join us when we’re in your town!                                                                  Click Here to Read More & Find Out When We Are In Your Community
